would simply say.. Get away from anyone giving review. Go and watch
this movie. You will be surprised by it. Not everyday are we going to
get movies like this. Don't keep high expectations about the movie,
unless you have seen previous Rajamouli films ;) (like Magadheera,
Eega). I would definitely say watch on bigger screens like imax or xd.
Background score is simply awesome and as usual rajamouli makes best use
of the music for his sets.
Visuals are good. All characters did their part. Cannot name anyone particularly. I liked the main character most. I will be watching the movie at least two more times :). Hope y'all njoy it.

This
movie is extra special for me, it marked the end of studying and walk
into the real world, and what made it even more touching was that I had
just completed a degree in University of Strathclyde and a lot of the
outdoor and songs were shot on the University campus and surrounding
Scottish locations that I could relate to.
This was the starting point of glitzy, orchestrated and professional movies in the Indian cinema. Attention was paid to the smallest of details as well as being the first to: bring designer clothes brought into the movies, modern dressing was addressed, sets were realistic and well created and most importantly the characters were well developed – we knew where they were coming from, where they were and where they were going.
SRK and Kajol are the best pairing in modern day's hero's and look wonderful together. They have the kind of chemistry that really complements each other and they know how to hold themselves against each other. Rani looks good in her role. It is clear to see that she has great potential and will accomplish a lot in the years ahead. Anupam Kher, Farida Jalal and Johnny Lever are great in their roles and really well suited.
The story is well developed with a great direction and writing credits, it can be seen that Karan Johar will be a milestone in Indian Cinema. It is really excellent the way the story in split into two halves and after the intermission one gets the feeling that they have been transported into a different world from the one we just saw before the break. I shall not indulge into the story too much but its is not your run of the mill love story.
All I really have to say is that I saw this movie again recently after a few years and it still looks fresh and modern and it still makes me laugh and cry.

am so ashamed I am writing this review. Curiosity killed me. Or,
rather, curiosity killed my 150 rupees. I was curious about what Bond
girl Caterina Murino (Solange in 2006's Casino Royale) was doing in a
Bollywood film. That was why I went to see Fever. Also, the film looked
sleek, what with all those gorgeous Swiss locales and all. I was
deceived quite easily. I ended up sleeping through a nice part of the
film before the interval. The film hardly made any sense in the first 30
minutes. This, together with the air conditioning in the multiplex,
made me sleep. A loud noise just before the interval woke me up. I
realised it was a very badly composed background score. For once it is
hard to believe that the background score has been composed by Ranjit
Barot! But that is how bad Fever is. Except those Swiss locales and some
beautiful photography nothing else is good in Fever. But why am I
praising the cinematography? The camera-work is good, but, in the end,
everything is just like some beautiful picture postcard from Europe. In
fact, when a range of logos of European travel firms and Swiss
government organisations is displayed right after the censor board
certificate and the no smoking ad, you know what is in store: A
Bollywood-style promo of Swiss tourism. Caterina Murino has a
you-blink-and-you-miss-her role, but the most heartbreaking thing about
Fever is Victor Banerjee's role. The veteran actor has only a short and
absolutely unimportant cameo. It looked like they needed just a star or a
big-name actor to do that cameo➖hence, Victor Banerjee. And better to
say nothing about Rajeev Khandelwal, Gauhar Khan, Gemma Atkinson, and
debutante Ankita Makwana. I read somewhere that Gemma Atkinson is a big
star of British television. What kind of fever compelled her to act in
this Fever? Seriously, Fever is just a 127-minute-long,
made-by-Bollywood commercial for Swiss tourism featuring six big and
small celebrities from India and abroad. I have given Fever 2 stars out
of 10. One star is for the guts of the makers of this film who believed
that they could get away with making such a joke of a film. The second
star is for making me fall asleep, for the first time in my life, in a
cinema hall!

moral of the story is, don't do prison time for selfish bitches. Indeed
it's NEVER a good idea to do time for a crime you didn't commit. That
being said, this is the first stalker movie I've seen in ages where the
stalker's motive isn't completely ridiculous. Arguably his position is
TOO sympathetic, because if you do time for somebody, typically not just
the expectation, but the OBLIGATION is a quid pro quo result.
If the mother wasn't going to stay in a relationship with the guy, she should have turned herself in from the start, but instead she let him serve a full sentence for a crime he didn't commit. That kind of makes the protagonist in this story SO much worse than the antagonist, not to mention the fact that she killed a guy on his own property within the opening minutes of the film. The irony I suppose, is letting the guy kill her boyfriend would have in fact probably made her less of a piece of scheisse. Films that deal with questions of moral turpitude sure are a lot of fun.
Overall it's a very basic screenplay with threadbare dialogue even, which is somewhat typical of most TV movies these days. Louis Mandylor as the jealous ex-lover, in large part, completely sells the movie as a concept, the main standout scene being his confrontation with the mother's husband. What this film really has going for it though, is the very atypical realism of the whole underlying "stalker" situation. As the viewer, you'll likely feel inner conflict over the scenario you've been presented with. It therefore succeeds very well in drawing the viewer in and holding one's interest, for the simple reason that, unlike most stalker movies, it deals with sacrifice and loss in a way that's relatable.
If you've ever been in a relationship where you've given more than you got back, or maybe feel guilty for not reciprocating what you feel you should have or could have, you'll likely be getting JUST a little bit more out of this film, than you would out of, say, the typical thriller/stalker film where the antagonist is either ridiculously in love at first sight, with no real depth of character explored, or thriller/stalker films where the antagonist is seeking revenge for something often half-baked or accidental, in a way that's over the top, and where the ends don't in any way justify the means. That's what I'm personally all too used to seeing with this type of formula, so with this film came a slight refreshing illumination for the genre.

This angle is where director Monika Mitchell and writer Kendall Clark score some points, with an engrossing drone scene and a sufficiently menacing Levi Meaden (as Carl Cooke). Alas, his character is borderline silly. Best female friend Jodelle Ferland (as Audrey) does her best in a far too predictable role. It's all so routine, but Ms. Mitchell and her crew do move it along and keep raising attention. Their scenes get to the point and waste no time, making them add up to more than they're worth. is a really fine film, by turns cultured, frightening and erotic. It's a
thriller woven from the tension in the relationship between the dried
up author Sarah and the nymphomaniacal publisher's daughter Julie with
whom she is forced to share a villa in the Sud.
Ozon has made it so much more though. It is also an erotic drama, Sarah forced to confront herself in the cast-off wake of Julie's promiscuity. The women's tacit sexual comparisons are also played out in a series of Oedipal symbols and exchanges Most striking is a gash of a red lilo that sits menacingly and yet enticingly by the pool throughout; the men that Julie brings back to the house are also pawn-like, less sexual partners than bargaining chips between the two women.
Further ghostly references are thrown into the mix with the circumstances not dissimilar to Henry James' The Turn of The Screw and a shocking allusion to Nick Roeg's Don't Look Now as the drama mounts. As much as the drama is maintained in beautifully constructed shots and careful control of the tension and pacing this film's success must be the overwhelming performance of Rampling as Sarah. It's difficult to condense one's thoughts on the studiousness, allure and sacrifice that make up a contribution as convincing as this. Sagnier's brattish but sharp Julie is no less committed and role-immersed. Mesmerising film-making .

first things first: I know that 'The Jungle Book' is a kid's film. I
just argue that this does not elevate it above criticism, especially in
light of the near-universal acclaim it is receiving (from adults).
Now, the problems inherent in 'The Jungle Book' start in the previous paragraph, as when I said "kid's film" I didn't mean a kid's film which can be understood on multiple levels and that might even sneak in the odd rude joke for the dads to chuckle at before getting an elbow to the ribs from mum and that is at the end of the day a good film for anyone of any age, which is also what you'd expect a film as lauded as this one to be. I mean it's a kid's film for kids that talks down to kids and that it will bore bright kids and anyone else.
Perhaps I should start with what I liked about this film. Or at least the things I acknowledge were good. By which I mean the special effects were very good. I didn't dwell on them, truth be told. It hasn't been the 90's for a while now. But the special effects were there, and they were good. I actually did like Idris Elba's voice work as the vindictive tiger Shere Khan, along with Ben Kingsley's contributions as Bagheera (a kindly, if strict panther). The film was pretty much always pretty, but that's hardly difficult to achieve when you're filming panthers and wolves and peacocks in a lush jungle and have $175,000,000 to get it right.
Right, on to where this box office hit went wrong: Mowgli, or more specifically Neel Sethi's performance, has come under criticism, some of which is justified. It is true that this boy is not the finest actor ever to grace the big screen, but to be fair he is a child and what little talent he did have was hardly helped to flourish by the fact that he probably spent most of his time acting in front of a green screen. What killed Mowgli for me was that this boy was supposed to have been raised by wolves.
It takes several years to make a feature film from start to finish, and this was no exception. So hold that thought when I say that I would not expect most people I meet to have seriously thought about how a child who had been raised by wolves would act, or to have read any accounts of the Midnapore wolf girls or others. I might however expect that people making a film about a child who was raised by wolves, and getting paid handsomely to do so, to have done some research along these lines. And the fact that Mowgli here seems to be more of a young middle-class US-born parkour enthusiast who lost his way leaves one word resonating loudly in the forefront of my mind.
That word is "lazy".
He is a wolf child with no conscious memory of his human family. Couldn't he have taken on at least a few lupine traits? I know why he had to wear a loincloth, I'm not so pedantic as to forget this is a kid's film. For that same reason I know that we can't see him licking himself no matter how hilarious it would have been, but could he not have sniffed the new things he found? Like, even a little bit? Could we not have seen at the start of even a single scene that he was gnawing a bone or actually playing in a puppy-like way with his adoptive siblings? Apparently not. All we got was a couple of howls, and those could be pretty shaky. This kid is from urban America and doesn't even try to hide it.
This made for an almost complete disconnect between myself and Mowgli (and pretty much any other characters on the screen). I didn't care for his perils or for his increasingly implausible solutions.
Indeed, Mowgli also seems to be the proud owner of numerous Cub Scout merit badges, as he has an ingrained knowledge rope making and knot tying, at one point masterminding basic engineering and constructing a harness and pulley system on what appeared for all the world to be his first attempt.
At this point I felt more like I was watching George of the Jungle, only with all the funny bits removed. Tedious would be an appropriate adjective for the experience. Then I was watching King Kong, because King Louie (large extinct primate species known as Gigantopithecus blacki, voice of Christopher Walken) was freaking huge. Distractingly so, and I don't even care if this species actually did exist at one point. Besides, I don't remember there being a giant orangutan in 'The Jungle Book' before this version.
And the worst thing? Not only is 'The Jungle Book' so tedious and patronising as to only possibly appeal to little children, it is also too violent to be watched by little children without adult supervision. So it's not even a suitable babysitter film.

Now, the problems inherent in 'The Jungle Book' start in the previous paragraph, as when I said "kid's film" I didn't mean a kid's film which can be understood on multiple levels and that might even sneak in the odd rude joke for the dads to chuckle at before getting an elbow to the ribs from mum and that is at the end of the day a good film for anyone of any age, which is also what you'd expect a film as lauded as this one to be. I mean it's a kid's film for kids that talks down to kids and that it will bore bright kids and anyone else.
Perhaps I should start with what I liked about this film. Or at least the things I acknowledge were good. By which I mean the special effects were very good. I didn't dwell on them, truth be told. It hasn't been the 90's for a while now. But the special effects were there, and they were good. I actually did like Idris Elba's voice work as the vindictive tiger Shere Khan, along with Ben Kingsley's contributions as Bagheera (a kindly, if strict panther). The film was pretty much always pretty, but that's hardly difficult to achieve when you're filming panthers and wolves and peacocks in a lush jungle and have $175,000,000 to get it right.
Right, on to where this box office hit went wrong: Mowgli, or more specifically Neel Sethi's performance, has come under criticism, some of which is justified. It is true that this boy is not the finest actor ever to grace the big screen, but to be fair he is a child and what little talent he did have was hardly helped to flourish by the fact that he probably spent most of his time acting in front of a green screen. What killed Mowgli for me was that this boy was supposed to have been raised by wolves.
It takes several years to make a feature film from start to finish, and this was no exception. So hold that thought when I say that I would not expect most people I meet to have seriously thought about how a child who had been raised by wolves would act, or to have read any accounts of the Midnapore wolf girls or others. I might however expect that people making a film about a child who was raised by wolves, and getting paid handsomely to do so, to have done some research along these lines. And the fact that Mowgli here seems to be more of a young middle-class US-born parkour enthusiast who lost his way leaves one word resonating loudly in the forefront of my mind.
That word is "lazy".
He is a wolf child with no conscious memory of his human family. Couldn't he have taken on at least a few lupine traits? I know why he had to wear a loincloth, I'm not so pedantic as to forget this is a kid's film. For that same reason I know that we can't see him licking himself no matter how hilarious it would have been, but could he not have sniffed the new things he found? Like, even a little bit? Could we not have seen at the start of even a single scene that he was gnawing a bone or actually playing in a puppy-like way with his adoptive siblings? Apparently not. All we got was a couple of howls, and those could be pretty shaky. This kid is from urban America and doesn't even try to hide it.
This made for an almost complete disconnect between myself and Mowgli (and pretty much any other characters on the screen). I didn't care for his perils or for his increasingly implausible solutions.
Indeed, Mowgli also seems to be the proud owner of numerous Cub Scout merit badges, as he has an ingrained knowledge rope making and knot tying, at one point masterminding basic engineering and constructing a harness and pulley system on what appeared for all the world to be his first attempt.
At this point I felt more like I was watching George of the Jungle, only with all the funny bits removed. Tedious would be an appropriate adjective for the experience. Then I was watching King Kong, because King Louie (large extinct primate species known as Gigantopithecus blacki, voice of Christopher Walken) was freaking huge. Distractingly so, and I don't even care if this species actually did exist at one point. Besides, I don't remember there being a giant orangutan in 'The Jungle Book' before this version.
And the worst thing? Not only is 'The Jungle Book' so tedious and patronising as to only possibly appeal to little children, it is also too violent to be watched by little children without adult supervision. So it's not even a suitable babysitter film.

This is a film which simply shouldn't work, but it does - magnificently. A story centred on a teenager who becomes the world's youngest billionaire, a web site that reaches a million users in two years, and a cast of real life characters with names like Zuckerberg and Winklevoss just shouldn't be possible. A convoluted tale of raw conflict on the origins of a new type of web site should not lend itself to an expensive movie as opposed to a television documentary. It succeeds because it is not about the technology but about creativity and conflict and about friendship and betrayal. It succeeds because of a magical combination of accomplished direction, scintillating dialogue and superb acting.
The direction comes from David Fincher who has had variable success, all the way from "Alien 3" to Se7en", but here he is right on form with a flashy, but tightly structured, presentation that never fails to command your attention and interest. The all-important, sparkling script is courtesy of Aaron Sorkin who gave us "The West Wing" - the best television series ever - and yet apparently does not do social networking.
At the heart of the movie is a brilliant, Oscar-worthy performance from Jesse Eisenberg as the 19 year old Harvard student Mark Zuckerberg, the genius behind "The Facebook" (the social network), the unsympathetic anti-hero of the adventure, a borderline sociopath variously described by women characters as "an asshole" and someone "just trying so hard to be" one. Andrew Garfield is excellent as Zuckerberg's Harvard roommate and co-founder of the site Eduardo Savarin; thanks to the wonders of CGI, Arnie Hammer manages to be terrific as both the twins Cameron and Tyler Winklevoss; while singer Justin Timberlake is a revelation as the Napster founder Sean Parker. This is a testosterone-charged fable with room for women only in minor support roles - ironic in that getting girls was the impetus for the Facebook project.
The film opens in 2003 with a breathlessly wordy encounter and closes in 2009 with a poignantly wordless scene. In between, the story zips along at the frenetic pace characterised by the business itself. Adapted from Ben Mezrich's book "The Accidental Millionaires", the framework for the fascinating narrative is not one but two courtroom dramas or, to be more accurate, pre-trial hearings (both resulted in out-of-court settlements which tells you a lot). Clearly you shouldn't judge a book by its cover.

If
you have given a thought to watch this movie, I bet it would be all
because of Sunny and the title. But believe me , the movie is a total
crap. Doesn't have a plot, neither good direction, awful acting combined
with the typical sensual scenes from Bollywood and an item song. And
after all the one and a half hour of hard work you do by sitting
patiently waiting for that twist to come in and grab your attention, all
you get is a bundle of disappointment and a punch from you subconscious
for wasting your or your parent's hard-earned bucks on this. Hard on
expectations, If looked deeply it has a good message and triesto convey a
serious issue on the run in our country but is hardly able to do it.
P.S. -This is one of the worst movies I have watched.
